Jewish Caucus

The 蘑菇TV下载 Jewish Caucus was formed in 2003 to address concerns and issues of Jewish members of 蘑菇TV下载.聽 Since the beginning, the 蘑菇TV下载 Jewish Caucus has sponsored a business meeting, convention sessions, and a series of speakers.聽 We view our purpose as educating ourselves as much as educating others.聽 The issues of concern to members of the 蘑菇TV下载 Jewish Caucus can be categorized into five areas.

1. The need for a space within 蘑菇TV下载 to discuss 鈥淛ewish鈥� issues with other Jewish members of 蘑菇TV下载 (but please note, all of our meetings are always open to anyone, indeed we welcome anyone with an interest to attend);
2. Issues of anti-Semitism within 蘑菇TV下载, within the profession and field of education and in our lives;
3. The state of children鈥檚 literature for Jewish children and about Jewish people;
4. The representation of Jews and Jewish life within 蘑菇TV下载 and within the literature provided to students in grades K-12 language arts education (and elsewhere), including the need to move beyond representations limited to the Holocaust; and
5. The promotion and support of contemporary Jewish American literature and its authors.
